You can use this article to adjust sync settings for your Hudu integration in ScalePad Lifecycle Manager.
The Hudu sync settings provide the option to choose which Asset Types to synchronize into Lifecycle Manager and whether to synchronize archived configurations.
Navigate to Integrations, and select Hudu.
Two settings can be adjusted for your Hudu integration:
Enable Two-Way Sync Fields (Optional)
Please note that if the associated custom fields are not created in Hudu, enabling the associated option will not update these custom fields by writing back to Hudu.
-
In the Enable Two-Way Sync Fields section, select the Purchase Date to enable Two-Way Sync for this field.
-
Select the Warranty Expiration Date to enable Two-Way Sync for this field.
-
Click Save Hudu Setup.
Select Asset Types to Sync
Hudu Asset Types map to hardware types in Lifecycle Manager. For each type of asset you want to sync intoLifecycle Manager, you'll need to map the Asset Type to a Lifecycle Manager Hardware Type.
For example, Computer Assets would map to Workstation. Likewise, if you'd prefer not to sync a certain Asset Type, set its mapping to blank.
Sync assets without serial numbers
While we're unable to perform warranty look-ups on hardware assets without serial numbers, there is value in adding these assets to your Lifecycle Manager account.
Although we don't perform warranty lookups directly on assets without serial numbers, you're able to manually enter end dates for them and we do report on their OS status too.
We always recommend having all assets synced to your account to ensure you have a complete picture of your assets under management. This ensures that every team member has the full insights needed to consult and service each client effectively.
