In Hudu, custom asset fields enable Two-Way synchronization of warranty dates.

  1. Sign in to Hudu with a System Administrator account.

  2. Within the Hudu menu, navigate to Admin Asset Layouts

  3. Within the Asset Layouts section, select a layout and click into it. For example, Computer Assets.

You must create two custom Date fields in your Hudu account:

    1. One labeled Purchase Date

    2. One labeled Warranty Expiration Date

  4. Click the New Field button.

  5. In the New Field Label text entry field, enter the following information:

    1. In the Label* field, type Purchase Date (exactly as shown)

    2. Set the New Field label as Date.

  6. Click the Create Field button.

  7. Repeat steps 4 thru 6 for the Warranty Expiration Date field.

  8. In the New Field Label text entry field, enter the following information:

    1. In the Label* field, type Warranty Expiration Date (exactly as shown)

    2. Set the New Field label as Date

    3. When creating the Warranty Expiration Date field, select the Add to Expirations checkbox.
