ServiceNow integration instructions

This article provides instructions on how to integrate ServiceNow to Lifecycle Manager.

Prerequisites

Before proceeding with the integration, please ensure the following requirements are met:

  • Manage Integrations Permission: Verify that the Manage integrations permission is enabled for your ScalePad Hub account.
  • Administrator Credentials: Confirm that you have Administrator user credentials for ServiceNow.

Create a ServiceNow Integrator account

One-Way Sync permissions

Read access is required to the following tables:

  • core_company

  • cmdb_ci

    • And any additional cmdb\_ci\_ \* tables that contain devices you want to sync

  • cmdb_model

  • cmn_department

  • cmn_location

  • domain

  • sys_choice

  • sys_user

Two-Way Sync permissions

All One-Way Sync permissions above plus write access to the following cmdb_ci table fields:

  • cmdb_ci

    • purchase_date

    • warranty_expiration

  1. Create a ServiceNow integrator account

  1. Enter your integrator account and instance details on the add integration page

    1. ServiceNow Hostname / Base URL of your instance (see below)

    2. Username

    3. Password

    4. Multi-factor Authentication Code (optional)

  2. Select Organization Name Mapping

    1. Map ServiceNow Companies or Domains to Lifecycle Manager Organizations

  3. Enable Two-Way Sync Fields (optional)

    1. Warranty Expiration

    2. Purchase Date

  4. Select Configuration Item Statuses to Sync

  5. Select Configuration Item Tables to Sync

  6. Include Devices Without Serial Numbers (optional)

  7. Click Save ServiceNow Setup.

Base URL - The base URL is the URL you have in your web browser—everything after ‘https://’ but before the next forward slash.

When you click Save ServiceNow Setup, Lifecycle Manager performs a full sync. When finished, you'll be able to view your hardware assets in your account.
