How to adjust your Halo PSA sync settings

Use this article to adjust any sync settings for your HaloPSA integration in Lifecycle Manager.

Navigate to Integrations, and select HaloPSA.

Two-Way Sync

Under Two-Way Sync, you can choose which fields ScalePad will keep updated in HaloPSA. The fields available are:

  • Warranty Expiration Date
  • Purchase Date

Selecting these options ensures that any changes in ScalePad to the corresponding asset information (e.g., updated warranty expiry or purchase date) will also update the corresponding fields in HaloPSA.

Two-Way Sync Custom Fields

This section extends the functionality of Two-Way Sync by mapping ScalePad data to custom fields in HaloPSA. Specifically, when enabled:

  • ScalePad will write purchase dates to the Supplier Purchase Date field in HaloPSA.
    • This supersedes the default Parts Warranty Start field for warranty-related updates.
  • Important: The standard Purchase Date two-way sync (in the Two-Way Sync section) must be enabled in order for this custom field sync to work properly.

You enable this option by selecting the Purchase Date box under Two-Way Sync Custom Fields. Once selected, ScalePad uses the Supplier Purchase Date field in HaloPSA as its source and target for reading and writing asset purchase information.

Select asset statuses to sync

Depending on the statuses in your Halo PSA instance, select the ones that you want to sync into Lifecycle Manager. Likewise, clear the types which you would prefer not to sync.

Select Asset types to sync

Halo PSA Asset Types map to hardware types in Lifecycle Manager. For each type of asset you want to sync intoLifecycle Manager, you'll need to map the Asset Type to a Lifecycle Manager Hardware Type.

For example, Desktop would map to Workstation. Likewise, if you'd prefer not to sync a certain Asset Type, set its mapping to blank.

Sync assets without serial numbers

While we're unable to perform warranty look-ups on hardware assets without serial numbers, there is value to adding these assets to your Lifecycle Manager account.

We always recommend having all assets synced to your account to ensure you have a complete picture of your assets under management. This ensures that every team member has the full insights needed to consult and service each client effectively.
