Generate an API key for the first time
-
Sign in to Continuum Command's ITSupport Portal
-
Head to Admin Integration Reporting API
-
Click Create API Key
Continuum Command only allows a single reporting API key to be used. Once the API key is generated, take note of the API key and store the API key in a secure location.
Regenerate an API key if the existing key is unknown
Since Continuum Command only allows a single reporting API key to be used, and if you've already connected Continuum Command to another tool, such as IT Glue, you can't create a new one without breaking the first.
In case you haven’t stored the previous API key in a secure location or you forget the Continuum Command API key, return to the API screen and click Regenerate. Any previously generated API key will be invalidated and you must update the Continuum Command API key in use in any previous systems.
-
Sign in to Continuum Command's ITSupport Portal
-
Head to Admin Integration Reporting API
-
Click Create API Key
-
From the API screen, click the Regenerate button to regenerate an API key.
Once you’ve regenerated the API key, document it securely, then update all integrations that were using it previously and then add it to Lifecycle Manager.
You should add the API key outside of business hours after confirming that no active integrations are syncing.
