Agreements Overview

Lifecycle Manager automatically syncs agreements from your connected Professional Services Automation (PSA) tool. Synced agreements contribute to budget forecasts and reports for each client.

You can also add vendor agreements manually for services not managed through a PSA.

What syncs from your PSA

Lifecycle Manager supports direct sync from ConnectWise Manage and Autotask PSA for the following agreement types:

  • Recurring services
  • Fixed-cost and milestone-based

Agreements sync automatically every 24 hours. Updates to pricing and contract details in your PSA carry through on the next sync.

When you open an agreement, you can see the individual line items that make up the contract total. You can also expand agreements in the table view to show line items inline.

Viewing agreements

To open the Agreements page, select Agreements from the navigation panel on the client dashboard.

The Agreements page lists all active agreements for the client. Each row shows:

  • Name
    The agreement name
  • Status
    Active or Inactive
  • Description
  • Location
  • Cycle
The billing cycle (for example, Annually or Monthly)
  • Price
    The total contract cost
  • Currency
  • Assets
The number of assets linked to this agreement
  • Next due
    The next billing date
  • End date
  • Notice date
The deadline to cancel before the contract auto-renews
  • Auto renew
Whether the contract is set to auto-renew at the end of its term.
  • Third party
Whether the contract involves a third-party vendor

You can search for an agreement by name using the search field at the top of the table.

To view agreement line items inline: Click Show Agreement Line Items to expand all agreements in the table and display their individual line items.

To open an agreement: Click the agreement name. The agreement opens and shows three sections:

  • Basic Info
Name, Account, Status, Location, Impact, Third-party indicator, and Description
  • Billing
Billing cycle, Currency, and a line items table showing each item's status, cost type, quantity, unit price, total price, currency, and whether it's billable
  • Dates and Renew
Next due date, end date, auto-renew setting, notice period, and whether to include the contract in budget forecasts past its end date
Note: For agreements synced from a PSA, billing fields such as status, billing cost, and billing cycle are read-only in Lifecycle Manager. Changes to these fields must be made in your PSA.

Hiding and showing agreements

If an agreement shouldn't appear in your budgets or reports, you can hide it. Hidden agreements don't feed into the budget and remain hidden through subsequent syncs until you manually show them again.

To hide an agreement:

  1. Open the client's Agreements page.
  2. Select the agreement.
  3. Click Hide agreement.

To show a hidden agreement:

  1. Open the client's Agreements page.
  2. Click Show hidden.
  3. Select the agreement.
  4. Click Show agreement.
Note: If your budget numbers look higher than expected after a sync, a newly synced agreement may be contributing costs.
Open the agreement and click Hide agreement to remove it from your budget and reports.

Adding Contracts manually

You can manually add third-party vendor agreements for services not managed through a PSA. For more information, see Manually creating Contracts.
