Use this guide to adjust any sync settings for your N-able N-central REST integration in Lifecycle Manager. Navigate to Integrations, and select N-able N-central REST.

Select device classes to sync

Selecting the Lifecycle Manager Asset Type from each corresponding drop-down menu will map the respective N-able N-central Device Class, to that hardware asset type.

For example, mapping Printer device classes to Imaging means that all your printer assets will show up as imaging assets in Lifecycle Manager.

Enable Two-Way Sync Fields

N-able N-central REST supports two-way synchronization of purchase dates and warranty expiration dates by writing directly to write to the native "Warranty Expiry Date" and "Purchase Date" fields.

If you are not running N-central version 2024.6 or later, the associated dates will not be written back into N-able N-central and will not update the associated native "Warranty Expiry Date" and "Purchase Date" fields.

1. To enable Two-Way Synchronization for the Warranty Expiration Date field, navigate to the Two-Way Sync section and select the corresponding checkbox associated with the Warranty Expiration Date field.
2. Similarly, to enable Two-Way Synchronization for the Purchase Date field, locate the Purchase Date field within the Two-Way Sync section and select its corresponding checkbox.

Sync assets without serial numbers

While we're unable to perform warranty look-ups on hardware assets without serial numbers, there is value in adding these assets to your Lifecycle Manager account.

Although we don't perform warranty lookups directly on assets without serial numbers, you're able to manually enter end dates for them and we do report on their OS status too.

We always recommend having all assets synced to your account to ensure you have a complete picture of your assets under management. This ensures that every team member has the full insights needed to effectively consult and service each client.

1. Select the Include hardware assets without serial numbers checkbox.
2. Click Save and sync now.
