Integrating with Logic Monitor

This article covers how to integrate Logic Monitor with Lifecycle Manager using an API key. 
The first section contains the steps required to generate API credentials in Logic Monitor. The second will guide you through entering these credentials into ScalePad and completing the integration.

What you'll need:

  • Admin access to Logic Monitor to create an API User
  • A ScalePad User account with Manage Sync Settings permission.
 

Step 1: Generate a Logic Monitor API User and credentials.

The same steps are outlined below for your convenience.

 
  1. Log in to Logic Monitor as an admin.
  2. Navigate to Settings > User Access > Users and Roles > Users.
  3. Click Add User Options > Add API only User.
  4. In the Add API Only User page, enter the following information:
    • Username
    • Group - The User Group to add this user to.
    • Status - Set this to Active
  5. Click the + icon beside API Tokens.
  6. In the Status field, choose LMv1.
  7. Click the save icon.
  8. Copy and save the Access ID and Access Key. They will be used to connect with Lifecycle Manager
  9. Click Next: Role and assign the Readonly role.
  10. Click Finish to complete API user creation in Logic Monitor.

 

Step 2: Connect with Lifecycle Manager

  1. Log in to ScalePad as an admin or a user with Manage sync settings permissions.
     
  2. From the ScalePad Hub, click Integrations.


     
  3. Click the Add Integration icon.


     
  4. Search for Logic Monitor and click the Logic Monitor tile.


     
  5. Enter the following information:
    1. Account Name - Your Logic Monitor account name
    2. Access ID - The LMv1 Token Access ID copied during step 1.
    3. Access Key - The LMv1 Token Access key copied during step 1.

       
  6. Click Connect Now.

Logic Monitor will begin syncing with Lifecycle Manager immediately.
