Integrating with Bitdefender

Bring Bitdefender client and device data into Lifecycle Manager to keep asset records current and support security-aware lifecycle planning.

Bitdefender data flows into Lifecycle Manager in one direction: Bitdefender to Lifecycle Manager. The integration is read-only.

Who can use this feature?

A Lifecycle Manager account with permission to manage integrations or Manage Sync permissions.

What you'll need:

A Bitdefender GravityZone account with administrator access..
The GravityZone access URL.
A Bitdefender API key with Network API access.

What the integration does

The Bitdefender integration brings endpoint-security information into Lifecycle Manager. Partners can use the data to create consistent client security reviews, connect security information to planning conversations, and reduce manual screenshots or exports from the Bitdefender console.

The integration supports client and hardware data and includes a Bitdefender section for Lifecycle Manager Deliverables.

Generate an API key in Bitdefender GravityZone

See Bitdefender Public API documentation.

Sign in to the GravityZone Control Center.
Select your username in the upper-right corner and choose My Account.
In the Control Center API section, copy the Access URL.
In the API Keys section, select Add.
Enter a description for the key.
Enable the Network API.
Select Generate.
Copy the API key and store it in an approved password manager.

Bitdefender displays the API key only while the creation window is open. After you close the window, you cannot view the key again.

Lifecycle Manager validates the Access URL. It must use a Bitdefender GravityZone address ending in .gravityzone.bitdefender.com, such as https://cloud.gravityzone.bitdefender.com.

Connect Bitdefender to Lifecycle Manager

Log into the ScalePad Hub and click Integrations
Click + Add Integration
Search for Bitdefender and choose the Bitdefender tile.
Enter the Bitdefender Access URL.
Enter the Bitdefender API Key.
Select Connect or Save.
Review the connected companies and devices.

How syncing works

Lifecycle Manager imports companies and their endpoints from Bitdefender.
Devices are associated with clients using the Bitdefender company relationship.
Managed endpoints receive additional details such as operating system, last-seen time, and antivirus status.
The integration syncs data from Bitdefender into Lifecycle Manager. Two-way synchronization is not supported.

Troubleshooting

Issue	Resolution
The Access URL is rejected	Confirm that it is a GravityZone URL ending in `.gravityzone.bitdefender.com`.
The connection fails	Confirm that the API key is correct and that it was created by an administrator with Network API access.
The API key is unavailable	Create a new key. Bitdefender does not display an existing key after its creation window is closed.
Some device details are missing	Confirm that the endpoint is managed by a Bitdefender agent. Additional endpoint details are not available for every device.
