Setting up Lifecycle Manager is crucial in ensuring that an onboarding call is as productive as possible. By taking the time to complete a few essential preparations beforehand, you'll be able to maximize the value of the session and ensure that we can address specific needs.
1. Integrations: Building a solid data foundation
The strength of Lifecycle Manager lies in its ability to pull data through integrations, which are essential for performing warranty lookups and providing vital information about your assets. These integrations, typically established through API connections, enable Lifecycle Manager to compile a complete picture of your IT environment.
To make the most of Lifecycle Manager, we strongly encourage you to connect multiple integrations. These may include:
- Professional Services Automation tools (PSA)
- Remote Monitoring and Management tools (RMM)
- Documentation tools
- PSA & RMM all-in-one tools
- IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
- Networking and Business Disaster Recovery tools (BDR) tools
- Cybersecurity tools
- Backup tool
To begin, go to the Integrations section and select from the list of supported integration partners. We recommend an integrations specialist or a technically proficient team member manage these connections. Ensure that this individual has Administrator credentials for your ScalePad Hub account or permissions to manage sync settings.
2. Branding: Tailoring your client experience
Branding is a key component in delivering a consistent experience to your clients. By navigating to Account Settings > Account, you can add your company's website, set your business type, and upload your corporate logo. This logo is prominently displayed in generated reports and when sharing Scorecards and Roadmaps with your clients, ensuring that your branding is consistently represented.
3. Hardware settings: Optimizing asset management
Hardware replacement settings are critical for maintaining the efficiency of your client’s asset management system. By configuring these settings, you can assign specific replacement values to each type of hardware asset, ensuring that the data reflected in your reports is both accurate and current.
To do this, navigate to Account Settings > Hardware, where you can set the average hardware replacement value for each asset type. You can also set replacement ages to determine when an asset is recognized as overdue for replacement. Accurate data on reports is crucial for updating scorecard items and the creation of Replacement Initiatives.
4. Warranty coverage settings: Streamlining warranty management
Lifecycle Manager offers two types of warranty services—Infrastructure Protection and Workstation Assurance—each designed to meet different needs.
- Infrastructure Protection helps streamline the management of server and networking equipment warranties. You can get significant cost reductions, simplify the purchasing process, and easily schedule technician assistance.
- Workstation Assurance provides comprehensive replacement coverage, including accidental damage, for client workstations. This service is designed to offer worry-free, full replacement without any reinstatement fees.
Navigate to Account Settings > Warranty coverage to adjust the account-level warranty coverage settings, including markup percentages, coverage length, and SLA for each type of hardware asset.
5. Multi-factor authentication: Enhancing security
With the implementation of the ScalePad Hub, user accounts and product access privileges are now managed and controlled in the ScalePad Hub.
To further secure sign-in credentials, we recommend setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA). This can be done by navigating to My Profile in the ScalePad Hub. MFA adds an extra layer of security to the sign-in process, making it harder for unauthorized users to gain access.

- Managing Multi-Factor Authentication for Your Users
We suggest making MFA a requirement for all members and adding at least one additional Administrator to ensure continuous access to the account, especially if the current Administrator has MFA enabled.
6. Managing Members: Controlling access and permissions
As a ScalePad Hub Administrator, you can manage your team members by navigating to the Members section in the ScalePad Hub. There, you can adjust individual member permissions, invite new team members, and enhance security by enabling multi-factor authentication.
To invite new members, navigate to Invite Members in the ScalePad Hub, where you can enter email addresses, apply member permissions, and grant product access.
By completing these steps, you'll ensure that Lifecycle Manager is set up for success, enabling you to focus on maximizing the benefits of Lifecycle Manager.
