Changing Scheduled Reports Recipients

If your Scheduled Reports are being sent to an email address that isn't listed as a recipient for any of your clients, this is likely because that email address is set as the default Reply-To address for your Scheduled Reports. The Reply-To address is automatically CC'd on every Scheduled Report, so your team has a copy to bring into meetings with clients and can answer any questions they may have.

There is no ability to switch off this behaviour, but you can update the Reply-To address to your chosen email. Please follow the steps below to achieve this:

Change the Reply-To address for all clients

To update the Reply-To address globally:

  1. Click the gear icon to navigate to your account settings.
  2. Click Scheduled Reports.
  3. Select a different email address from the Reply-To dropdown. You can select from a list of your account members.
  4. Click Save Settings.

Note: This change applies globally to all clients. Any Scheduled Reports sent after this update will CC the new Reply-To address instead.

For more details, see Editing the global Scheduled Reports email template in Lifecycle Manager.

Change the Reply-To address for a specific client

To use a different Reply-To address for an individual client:

  1. Click Home in the top menu bar.
  2. Select a client from the client list.
  3. Click Scheduled Reports.
  4. Click Edit Template.
  5. Select a different email address from the Reply-To dropdown.
  6. Click Save Settings.

Note: This change applies only to the selected client and overrides the account-level setting for that client.

For more details, see Personalizing client-specific Scheduled Reports.

Route report copies to a dedicated inbox

If you don't want Scheduled Report copies going to your primary inbox but still want them monitored, you can create a dedicated member account tied to a shared inbox or help desk email address:

  1. Navigate to Members in your account settings.
  2. Create a new member account using the shared inbox or help desk email address you want to use.
    1. Here is how to add a New Member.
  3. Set this new member as the Reply-To address for your Scheduled Reports (globally or per client, using the steps in the sections above).

This routes report copies to a separate, monitored inbox and keeps them out of your primary email.

Note: The Reply-To address can't be turned off entirely. Every Scheduled Report will CC the selected Reply-To address, so we recommend choosing a monitored inbox to avoid missing any client replies.
